 I’ve taken a Bear’s Paw pattern and redesigned it. The result is 16 different

 quilt pattern blocks, each with a finished size of 14” X 14”. 

Putting the quilt together

 with sashing and fun corners, the quilt will be 88” x 84” finished size.

It seems like a dream, but it's happened ! 

14 years of My Quilt Ladies ! 

The Quilt Ladies idea came to me about 1995. I was working at the Sioux City, Iowa, Public Library and a mother of a little girl came up to me and asked, "Do you have anything like this for me?" she was holding up a popular children's book, that is presented in a series way.  Our library had nothing. For days after she left I had it in my head. I could do it. I love writing and I love quilting. I put them together and what I have is The Quilt Ladies Book Collection. 

On the Left: First book, printed in 2000 at home.

On the Right: taken to copy editor, book designer and a printer

I sold the first 3 titles (as on the left) of The Quilt Ladies Collection at quilt show, craft fairs, any place that I thought they would sale. Added books one at a time. 

So, HERE I am.....14 years later, 12 of "The Quilt Ladies Books" and the Quilt pattern Books, "Little Quilt Ladies" 

The Best Kind of DREAM, they do come true !

Last year the house in Nebraska had sold, the moving van was gone and we headed for a weekend away before our flight to Florida. I was exhausted and slept most of the first afternoon and night. 

But, at breakfast in the dining room the next morning, the floor was tile, a bear paw pattern. My brain was on over driver and I spent a great afternoon playing with the pattern on my old laptop, so old the only thing on it is the quilt pattern program, so here's my quilt and pattern for you.  It's only Available HERE

Here I go ! 

"The Quilt Ladies Book Collection" is the stories of Mary Alice, Emily, Helen, Teresa and Jenny. Each book has a story and the quilt pattern they (the Ladies) are making in that book.  The story continues book to book, but each title tells what the books about.

"Little Quilt Ladies" are patterns, no stories. Just Quilt or Applique Patterns.
